I did some research on Lewis and Clark and learned a lot about them.
Meriwether Lewis:
Born August 18, 1774, Meriwether Lewis was only 29 years old when he was asked by President Thomas Jefferson to head the expedition. Lewis accepted and, in turn, asked his army friend, William Clark, to act as the expedition's captain.
William Clark:
Born August 1, 1770, Clark was the youngest of six sons and the youngest brother of George Rogers Clark, the hero of the American Revolution in the West. He was 33 years old when asked by Meriwether Lewis to help head the expedition.
Through a website, which I will put in a link right here, I learned enough information about them that I can shape the game based on the information. I learned about how the journey started, how the journey went, what they did, how, how they met Sacajawea, and how it ended. I hope I can learn more soon. Oodbyegay!
Josh,
ReplyDeleteYour blogs are becoming more insightful, which is a great accomplishment! Your research looks very thorough. I had one question though- how could you use all your knowledge to teach other students about these events in history in a fun and engaging manner? Let's face it, a quiz type game would be very boring, and not many students will grasp the significance of the events you are teaching them about. Keep sharing your SPECIFIC ideas about game scenes through your blog to keep everybody posted about your progress.
Hey Josh maybe do some research on Sacagawea ( I think I spelled that right!)
