Hello everybody! I'm losing my mind... and I'm a little dizzy too. That's beside the point though. Today, I want to talk about our game and what it teaches. Our games Ideals concept is how America came to be. Most people couldn't understand a lot about Lewis and Clark's journey across the United States. Lewis and Clark were said to have been the first men to set foot in the Western United States. They also helped to build the America that we live in today. It's more important than most people think. Our game also teaches that they helped build peace between the Native Americans. We teach that through our scrolls which we put in the levels to collect. At the end of the game, you get a quiz based on what you learned. It's a pretty simple method of teaching. If you want to learn about the journey further, go here .

Civics Blog (Wassup)

Wazzup! Josh is back! Today, I want to talk about civic information reliability, or something like that. On television, you can find many sources of civics including the news, law enforcement, court, and others like that. Though, it depends on what you can rely on that tells the truth. For instance, I watch the "O' Reilly Factor" on TV with my grandparents because we can all trust that show to give us the truth. It is easy to take the false truths, in some cases, 'hook, line, and sinker'. If anyone is trying to find the true resources, I'd start by watching the news and then move on to the courts. From there, you can go anywhere. You could even watch law enforcement, such as "Law and Order", or news and debating, such as the "O' Reilly Factor". It's all good. My Civic Engagement Blog (Tillsay atingday Ritneybay!)

Hello! This is Josh again! Today, I want to discuss a game made by another team. I'm talking about "The Muffin Tanks". Their game is called "Survival of the Smartest" and they go to South Harrison High School. In their game, I see a lot of differences between the Paper Prototype and the actual demo. Like, for instance, the character in the Paper Prototype is an actual person, but in the demo, he's a stick figure. The enemies in the Paper Prototype are fully drawn monsters whereas the enemies in the demo are stick figures. The scenes are different too, but I'm not going to get into all that. I think that the changes that they've made are better than the original idea. As a fellow game designer, I say that these changes have definitely helped the games originality and fun factors. I also think that they don't need to change the demo any more because it's awesome the way it is. Good luck to all of you!

The team that created it is called "The Things" and they have only one member, who's name is Damien. I personally think that he's done a good job on his own. My Civics Engagement prompt

When we were working on the paper prototype, we were discussing what the game should be about. I wanted a Mario-style game, and that's when Clyde made the idea to make it about Lewis and Clark. It sounded good, so we went for it. After a while, the prototype started to form the game. If it hadn't been for our discussion, the game wouldn't be here. I'm just glad that it turned out okay. And just for the record, it was pretty fun making the prototype. Everybody needs to discuss in order to have a successful game. I guess this is a good lesson to teach. Sweet (EEROYLAY ENKINSJAY!!!!!)

Wassup! This is your boy, Josh, and I'm back with an awesome, pumpin' vibe! I have no idea where that came from, but I'm going to come right out and say why I did that. I'm going to be in Law Day 2010, armed with an awesome rap. Yeah, that about sums it up. Back to the subject. Today, I'm going to discuss the prompt that Ms. Barker gave us. A few weeks ago, we all presented our game presentations to people in Charleston and New York. I personally think it went rather well, even if the PowerPoint didn't load. Let's just say I didn't block my creative mind from putting animations and transitions. It didn't load after almost 20 min. That's bad. I made up the presentation on the spot for people in Charleston and New York. I need credit for that. Still, it went pretty good and they helped me point out some mistakes that I made in the game. They also gave me some tips to boost the game. So, instead of going from left to right, I'm going from right to left. I'm doing this so that it looks like you're going West. How well do you believe the average citizen understands US ideals?

I believe that the average citizen does not fully understand the US ideals. You really need to dig up history to fully understand the ideals of the US. When I say 'dig up', I mean that you need to research the history of America and how it came to be the way it is today. It is important that you know this stuff because if you don't know, you won't understand hardly anything about this country. Let's use Lewis and Clark as an example. They helped to spread many new things across the US, including the laws. They discovered many places and helped to shape the ground on which we stand. I think it's important to understand how crucial their journey really was. Either way, it's important to know about such things because it's these certain events that shaped our country into the way it is today. My Globaloria 'New Years Resolution'

My new years resolution for this class is to become a Wiki Master. That would be awesome to be the Elite Wiki-Man on MyGLife.org.
